Even though the server was running fine, I thought I'd twist myself up and try an in-place upgrade of the OS to the new version. Alas, as expected, it isn't going well.

After pulling the Valkyrie out of the garage, I tapped the remote to draw the door shut. As sometimes happens, nothing happened. I tried agan, noticing the strong and steady light on the remote. The wife then noticed that the light on the opener was off. We'd just minutes before opened the door to get the bike out.

Cable box broke again!

No hi-def, no DVR, no guide...how do people suffer through TV without the bells and whistles? Heh. Fortunately, Twins played this afternoon; unfortunately they got beat. Massive beat-down.

Now I need the distraction of other TV...doh! Cable box broke again...

Whoops...just noticed I'd started and not finished this bit about the first Twins game at the new field... Here it is, in its incompleteness.

On Friday we went to the Twins first game at the new Target Field. It wasn't the official opener (that's April 12), but it was the first time they played in front of a crowd there. We also went to the open house the Saturday before, where the Gophers hosted Texas Tech.
